5/12—JOE AND VIDA GALENA: A DAY IN GHANA

Join us for on Friday, May 12th from 8:45-11:45am for a charming and wonderful program all about the culture of Ghana, a Creative Arts & Sciences event fully funded by the Burr PTO. An associate professor at Berklee College of Music, Joe Galeota lived in Ghana for many years, and his wife, Vida, grew up there. Together they have created a rich program that brings students to Vida’s village for a day.

The day includes the family’s morning chores, the marketplace, school and the family’s evening activities. Throughout the program, Joe and Vida present artifacts, music, games, and proverbs. Join us! Parents are encouraged to attend, but no younger siblings, please. Thank you for your cooperation. Creative Arts and Sciences programs are fully funded by the Burr School PTO.
